Popularity of the Star Wars characters allow the story about them more widely developed. After Han Solo, Boba Fett and X-Wing, Obi-Wan Kenobi reportedly also be created for the film itself.
"For a movie spin-off maybe they will stay away from the Jedi or Sith character., But because of the popularity of Obi-Wan, is now being megrjakan concept art team with the author," said the source as reported Making of Star Wars, Monday (15/9).
Obi-Wan Kenobi character has appeared in a prequel to the original movie 'Star Wars', including the Expanded Universe. Ewan McGregor plays the character of the Jedi in the prequel films and reportedly will appear as a cameo in 'Star Wars Episode VII' which is currently shooting.
McGregor himself had expressed an interest to return to these characters. "If they need me as Obi-Wan Kenobi, I will gladly do so. Who would have thought that the story would be seperit what," he told Total Film.
Lucasfilm reportedly had to pick Gareth Edwards and Josh Trank to direct a film spin-off whose details have not been disclosed. While the 'Star Wars Episode VII' will hit theaters on December 18 next.
